The last couple of years the government of Rwanda has played an important role in reforming the Technical and Vocational Education and Training and tremendous progress has been realized with in the sector since 2008 and this has been done with the urge to empower the work force with different skills ranging from technical to Entrepreneurship skills hence to end poverty and improve peoples lives and so because of all this the Government is given credit.

However a lot more needs to be done in order to make this work to the most perfect levels, that on top of the Work Force Development Authority (WDA) and Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC) that have been put in place by the government to make a follow up on the Technical and Vocational Education Trainings (TVETs) and as Journey House Africa we want to put in place programs to maintain and improve what the Government has already put in place and bring in Transforming-Healthy-Reliable-Inspiring-Valued-Employable (THRIVE) program to embark on other new strategic programs to further develop the work force and the entire community which include the following:

Youth Empowerment Seminars (YES) since the youth are the backbone of the economy in sense that they’re energetic and young, by empowering them with the required skills the economy will have gotten the potential to have a long sustainable economic development.

Entrepreneurship Skills Development is another important aspect we shall emphasise on in order to advance in the innovations, inventions, and Job creation, which will come with a number of positive impacts both on the economy and the Rwandan society as well.

Many others with in the THRIVE program will be done to prepare the Rwandan work force and community and also perfect them in service delivery, merchandising and so many others and this will be reached at through customer service training, Financial knowledge, professionalism, and technology training.
