Rwanda is one of the countries working hard to ensure environmental protection as clearly stated as one of the new UN sustainable development goals and for this various bodies were put in place to make sure that this goal is realized for example Rwanda environmental management authority (REMA) and this body has a mandate to protect natural resources from misuse including forests, water resources, swamps and other environmental sensitive resources. But still this environmental target can only be achieved after a collective efforts from other stake holders including civil societies and the private sector entities it is in this line that journey house Africa is initiating environmental protection programs to realize this national and global target. Journey house is doing this through afforestation programs, advocating for proper land use to reduce exploitation of natural resources including forests, swamps, water bodies, game parks as well as ensuring proper disposal of factory and industrial wastes without endangering the eco system and contamination of the environment. All these initiatives will be implemented in collaboration with government environmental bodies
